Pets, Taking them to Spain

It's relatively easy to take your pets to Spain. In March 2000, the EU introduced a pet travel scheme (appropriately called PETS) to replace the  need to quarantine. Pets must be micro-chipped, vaccinated against rabies and undergo a blood test, 6 months after which they can be issued with a 'health certificate' or  'Pet Passport'.
