The North Costa Blanca(white coast) extends from Denia to the provincial capital; Alicante. The best known resort is Benidorm. This northern area stretches from Denia, inland to Castalla and takes in the coastal resorts of Javea, Calpe, Altea, Benidorm and Finestrat.
The South Costa Blanca stretches from Alicante to Cartagena. There are lively, multi-cultural towns with established and growing infra-structures (hospitals, schools etc...) There are miles of beautiful blue flag beaches, hustle and bustle in the larger towns while inland offers sleepy villages and tranquil orange groves.
The Costa Almeria begins south of Cartagena. It is the most easterly province of Andalucia and at Fiesta time the moorish influences can really be seen. There are plenty of orange, lemon, almonds and olive groves all over the province plus the inland towns and villages have that typically Spanish feel with their whitewashed houses and narrow cobbled streets. The northern stretch of this coastline around Mazarron is also known as the Costa Calida.
